according to the washington post, bush says that intelligent design should be taught. i agree. it should be taught, and exposed as the totally bullshit ignorance and fraud that it is. that’d be putting some real education into the schools.
a long time ago, i wrote about the apparent dearth of places in los angeles willing to take computer donations, but here’s one: l.a. shares. they do appear to be more geared towards companies donating multiple computers.
meanwhile, i found a corner of my apartment to stack a few boxes, and the extra computers are mainly an out-of-sight, out-of-mind sort of thing.
here is monty and david’s letter to the open source community — in japanese. you can also find the link to the english version there, but it looks cooler in japanese.
flush
i have managed completely flush my personal email inbox, and nearly flush my work email inbox.
i’m resisting the urge to keep them that way by setting it up to discard all new mail.
this does mean that if i didn’t answer an email you sent, i either lost it or hate you. (probably the former.)
charity, august 2005
right before the school year starts seems like an opportune time to give money to la’s best, which is an after-school enrichment program in the city of los angeles.
blo.gs is less broken
the folks at yahoo did something to make blo.gs a little less broken. but some people’s blogs, like jeremy zawodny’s still show spurious updates. based on the info page for jeremy’s blog, i bet it is because it has decided that his comment feed is his main rss feed. which isn’t surprise, since that rss feed contains

in the

.
it’s even worse when an entry gets hijacked by a feed that isn’t really the right one.
