the new york times reviews the new caltrans building in downtown los angeles, and it is quite a positive review. the building really is amazing at night, but it suffers from not having much going on at street level around most of the building. it also isn’t a remarkable building when viewed from many angles, particularly the one from out my window. in fact, the side of the building facing my apartment looks unfinished.
