i’m gradually turning into one of those people who registers a domain name when any sort of business idea pops into their head. each time, thinking “maybe this will be the one that goes somewhere.”

So how many domain names do you have, anyway?

i did that a couple of years ago and wound up with like 10 domain names that never got used. what a waste. save your money. :)

twenty domains, which corresponds to eight sites (several are registered under multiple variants), including the nosoftwarepatents domains. so roughly $270 in registration fees annually, if i keep them all registered. (which i won’t. the three nosoftwarepatents domains, at least, will be transferred out of my hands soon.)

right now, the domain i registered so i could put something on business cards at the home entertainment conference is the only one i think is really a dead idea. the others still have potential.

i'm one of those who finds the sweetest domain name, then keep checking in on its availability untill it's taken :(
