the m key on my new laptop's keyboard looks like an upside-down w. i wonder what font that is.

It's probably that special "whoops, we made too many W keys" font...
Either that, or the person who was designing the font was getting really tired of the whole thing by the time they made it to the end of the alphabet and started taking shortcuts....how do x, y, and z look? :)

looks odd indeed...i'd say its just a flipped W, but then again the extra character is in the normal place...unless they painted that on with water resistent paint it must be a real character...oh well you never know with apple eh

Well, looks very much like VAG Rounded Light. Might be a special made Apple variant, though.
