i find a certain irony in aaron's comment about boring weblogs that just present links with no personal reactions that follows two entries with no commentary and two automated entries. (the comment i'm referring to is currently the second-to-last one from yesterday. here's the permalink, but that takes it out of context.)

john dvorak makes his 2002 predictions. i think his linux-on-the-desktop thing is off-base (but wouldn't feel bad if proven wrong). most of his predictions seem pretty obvious, which makes the whole list rather dull. how about: in 2002, more journalists will learn how to write for the web and start linking to things?
