the machine from this article about building your own mini-pc just about fits my specs for an ideal home server. $250 (plus more for a cpu) looks like a pretty good price, too. (via /.)

there's a single gene that indicates lactose intolerance, and those ever-clever scientists have found it. and lactose tolerance is the mutation, not intolerance. so all of you baby cows are the freaks.

i need to decide what to do with the blo.gs and weblo.gs domains, which come up for renewal in a couple of months. i bought them on a whim, and still think they are cool, but i'm not sure i think they're $100/year cool.

i think 'eating a pretzel' is going to be my new excuse for everything.

i would have updated my blog more today, but i was eating a pretzel.

(do you think if someone mailed a bag of pretzels to the white house that the secret service would show up on their doorstep?)
