well, inside.com finally switched to a for-pay-only model, so i guess that's the end of that. i'll have to find another source for my entertainment industry fix. any suggestions?

by the way, if you're subscribed to the inside.com feed through a tool like radio userland, you should stop the subscription!

i finally got my july bank statement, so i was able to do a little burn-rate calculation to see how my financial situation has progressed over the last six months. the bottom line: about eighteen months before i need a job. while i'm not really planning on holding out that long, it is nice to know i've got the time.

(ah, if only i'd sold my red hat and va linux stock at their peaks. a lot of time was lost there. and webvan. oh, the humanity.)
