stuff like this almost makes me feel guilty about living in la. time to go outside and enjoy today's awesome weather. (apparently it is going to be chilly again next weekend, though. all the way down to the high fifties!)

new design for the front page. same old content, basically, but made room for some log entries. (i'll be the first to point out that the picture isn't, strictly speaking, a monkey. it's an orangutan, which is an ape. deal.)
