i’ve been thinking of rejoining the mobile phone wielders. they’re just too convenient when you’re trying to do something like meet up with people at a cemetery as night is falling. the audiovox 8610 with a pre-paid virgin mobile plan seems like it might be right for me. $70 for the phone, and then $60/year to keep the minimum service. too bad it isn’t supported by isync.

it’s so annoying that the directivo still requires a phone line. i’d love to ditch my $18/month land line, and get a skypein number for €30/year (and use skypeout at 2¢/minute).

the thing i was researching before getting sidetracked on search engine spam was a usb headset to use with skype and perhaps the work voip system. the plantronics dsp-100 seems like the most likely candidate right now.
