2006: things to do in los angeles
let me know if you want to do any of these. and more suggestions are welcome.
- go see the rose bowl parade floats (january 2, after the parade)
- go see metropolis at the orpheum (january 13) or some other orpheum event
- go on the los angeles conservancy walking tour of union station (january 14) and one or two more later in the year
- visit the los angeles zoo and botanical gardens
- take pictures of everything on broadway, spring, and main (again)
- visit the museum of contemporary art
- visit the museum of neon art and go on the neon cruise
- go on the “the undiscovered chinatown tour”
- go on the el pueblo de los angeles walking tour
- see something at the walt disney concert hall (and go on the walking tour?)
- go on the metro art tour
- spend some time at the beach (venice?)
- visit the watts towers of simon rodia

watts towers, el pueblo, chinatown, mona (even though i've done it already) and conservancy tours (ditto) all look good to me.

what about the la auto show ;)
a tip on the zoo (i am a member), go early in the morning when it's typically empty, even on weekends.
one more suggestion: descanso gardens.
