i know i was (and am) a jerk for saying “i don’t have a price in mind, so don’t ask.”

so i’m not surprised when people ask anyway.

but i was telling the truth.

at least as much truth as that statement can be.

i am tempted, when people ask, to give a number that i believe to be absurd.

after all, maybe somebody will not find it so absurd.

(and in case you don’t think you would, it would rhyme with cotillion.)

Rhymes with cotillion eh? Must be "one millionth of a million" then. I'll take it!

Wait, perhaps you were looking to trade for a vaudevillian, or a pavilion, or a girl named Lillian? How about Jillian? I'll trade you for a girl named Jillian!

How long did it take you to amass 11,000 users?

I sold the first condo I owned about two years ago to move into something bigger. Basically, I looked at the sale prices for similar units for the previous year and the picked a number greater than the maximum of those and rounded up. I had two written offers within about 4 days. Part of me says I should have asked for more.
