counting people
this article about a protest against bush in cuba, lead by castro caught my eye because the lede said it consisted of hundreds of thousands of people, and it turns out the official claim is 1.2 million people. the population of the havana area is 2.6 million. surveying the news reports, the only comment on the 1.2 million number was that it appeared possible
