k-billy’s super sounds of the 70s
the top 100 albums of the 1970s, according to pitchfork magazine. i only own about four albums on the list. i’m more of an even-numbered decade sort of guy (okay, not really — most 80s music is crap).
but this did inspire me to pull up herbie hancock’s head hunters in itunes, and the first track is so baked into my brain as the background music from toejam & earl (one of the sega genesis incarnations).
(via hit & run.)

thanks
the K is a spin-off of the common radio station names ie. wktty radio ect. and BILLY is a common american name i wouls translate it to... K-Pueblos or something
and be sure to use the deadpan dj voice
I would definitely leave it as K-Billy
just translate it as K-Juan but pronounce it K-hhhhhhhhwwwwwwahhhnn

I go to Indiana University and I am in a history of Rock and Roll class covering the 70's and 80's. In 1974, during a time of thriving Jazz Fusion, Herbie Hancock came out with an album named "head hunters". The first song "Chameleon" is heard in the background of ToeJam and Earl. (Watch out for the rocket skates and cupid.)
