speaking at phpcon west 2003

speaker: php{con west 2003 my proposal for phpcon west 2003 was accepted.

it will be the next iteration of the talk i gave at the last two phpcons, minus the community stuff, but with a more substantial example to talk about.

of course, that means i have some code to write to go along with the talk.

i should really put together a proposal for apachecon 2003.

snowfall by mitchell smith is set during the next ice age. it's post-apocalyptic anthropology fiction.

this was a quicker read than stone city, but shares some similarities: the world is very richly drawn, as are the characters. smith's vision of a devolved (and frozen) north american society is incredible. it is a setting that just begs for future novels to tell more of its stories.

hmm. my opinion of poquito más has slipped a notch.

this picture didn't turn out so great. that's a sysco truck unloading in front of a poquito más (small local mexican food chain—tasty stuff).
