fonts and web design
if there is anything i hate more about web design than fonts, i don’t know what it is. everyone has this urge to micro-manage the font face and size to a degree that is basically impossible to achieve in a usable, cross-platform, cross-browser manner.
it’s the canonical bike shed discussion in web design.
this is why the only font-family specified on this site is for the header (and that’s even for a font that only panther users are likely to have), and the only font-size specifications are relative. if you don’t like the fonts, it’s your own damn fault for being too stupid to set your browser’s default font to something you like.
every time someone complains about a font choice, it increases my desire to just set everything to comic sans and throw my computer out the window.
