one thing that i'm woefully undereducated about is the extent of the role that water has played in the development of southern california. the rejection of a new water plan by the imperial valley water district is the latest turn in what i get the impression is an interesting history. here is someone's amazon list of california water history books. more fodder for my new library card.

Does anyone know about the history of the Imperial Valley Irrigation Bonds from the 1920's? I'm doing a research project. I bought a post card on Ebay and the message was from a George Parsons dated 1928. The stock market crashed in 1929. I would like to know how the irrigation bonds performed.

Thanks.
