today, blo.gs got noticed by a paper on the bottom of the world, the sydney morning herald. because it is usually tomorrow there, i actually noticed it on the publication date of the article, instead of the day after. (this is not huge. i send more traffic to blo.gs from here.)

robbery homicide division has been cancelled. it's too bad it never found an audience, it was a pretty good show. one thing i've learned is to not delete the tivo season pass, since cbs will probably decide to burn off the remaining unaired episodes some time (like the summer). i missed an episode or two of greg the bunny that fox burned off last summer because i had deleted my season pass.

one thing that i'm woefully undereducated about is the extent of the role that water has played in the development of southern california. the rejection of a new water plan by the imperial valley water district is the latest turn in what i get the impression is an interesting history. here is someone's amazon list of california water history books. more fodder for my new library card.
