font size keywords in opera 6

i don't get it: as far as i can tell, the font size keywords work in opera 6 work like they allegedly do in ie/win 5. that is, 'small' is the same as the default size. looking at mark's relative font sizing howto, this is apparently not supposed to be the case, but when i view that page in opera 6 and chimera (on a mac, or opera 6 and mozilla on linux), the font sizes are totally different. i haven't found the correct trick to get opera 6 to do what i want.

also: hate hate netscape 4 hate hate netscape 4 die die die.

I don't think there is a fix for Opera's handling of font size keywords - I ended up resigning myself to the fact that my text would always look big-and-ugly in Opera :( The good news is that Opera 7 (beta now available, see www.opera.com ) gets font-size keywords spot on - the same size as they are rendered by default in Mozilla.
