judging from the sheer number of billboards for blue crush i saw in a concentrated area today, i have to wonder if one of the film's stars or producers lives in that area, and is being appeased by the studio. (there's at least a half-dozen billboards and bus signs in about a one mile stretch on ventura blvd., but none in the surrounding area.)

the really sad part is that i still had to look up the movie name via imdb once i got home to be able to comment on it.
