in a small town paper, a regular column written by religious leaders got into trouble when one of the authors dared to express something other than the prevailing view. i wonder if any non-christian views are ever expressed in the column. (one of the things that disheartens me about organized religion, or any other organization for that matter, is the resistance to criticism or discussion about fundamental assumptions.)
somebody got here by searching for "sedgewick/winstead wedding". i was going to make some joke about how i was marrying kyra sedgewick, but her last name is spelled sedgwick. you should pretend it worked out and was a funny joke, anyway. (kyra is married to kevin bacon, which pretty much secures her top position at the oracle of bacon.)
spurred by a discussion on metatalk, i whipped up the beginnings of a mefi-alike weblog. you can see it over here. it isn't very pretty, but the basics seem to work. (that is, you can create an account, change the settings, post new links, and comment.)
