i bought gas yesterday, for what i think is the first time since i got back from apachecon in the beginning of april. $1.999/gallon, regular unleaded. ouch. here's hoping i don't need to buy gas for another two months. (it could very well end up being even longer than that, though. i'm pretty sure that i had less than a quarter tank left when i got back from apachecon. my car belched out an impressive cloud of exhaust when i started it yesterday.)
for some reason, the washers in my apartment building have gone up to $1.25. the dryers are still $0.75. i guess water has gotten more expensive in the last few months since they raised the price.
to prepare for jury duty, i had to make sure i had pants that fit. what i've discovered: i own three pairs of pants (actually more than i thought -- i thought i only had two), with a six-inch spread in the waist sizes. the smallest don't quite fit, and the larger are a few inches too big. i guess that's why they make belts.
wow, these guys have a hell of a scam going. i got a very sparse "bill" for $960 to have my address and phone number published in their directory. uh, no thanks.
