digging through some old email, i stumbled across the info i needed to reclaim my original aim username. woohoo! (it is very close to the one i was using, only a little less formal.)
the cd ripping has continued, and i've churned through another shelf. one last shelf to go. 135 artists, 314 albums, 3783 songs, and 15 gigs. i've been hitting pockets of albums by the same artists, which explains the 71 albums but only 23 new artists -- van halen, blue öyster cult, jean-michel jarre. a big chunk of this last shelf will be most of the rush albums. (and rush doesn't appear to have a official website outside of a crappy one that is part of atlantic's website. that is very, very odd.)
along with a packet of vikings news, my mom sent some old papers of mine. included were a printout of the bulletin board software i wrote in applesoft basic circa 1989, some old bbs phone number lists, a draft of the essay i wrote for my national merit scholarship application, and my psat/nmsqt results, including the test booklet. crazy stuff. i'm amazed how much sense the source code still makes, considering it is completely uncommented. somewhere there may still be some floppies that have the software and data on it.
