pollingreport.com is a very interesting site that delivers polling results. i was thinking earlier today about a site that would be along these lines, but link to statistics about interesting things. (like the decline of youth violence.) like this, but with citations for everything.

it's nice to know that when i want a job, the valley will provide one.

uh oh, maybe things aren't as rosy as the los angeles times would have me believe.

i am actively violating this patent. woohoo!

i ran across this study about binge drinking on college campuses. the observation i found interesting was about the growing polarization between binge drinkers and abstainers -- their numbers were both growing at most colleges. this table indicates that less students were "drinking to get drunk", even though they were getting drunk more often. all in all, an interesting situation.
