one of the things that disturbs me about this whole 'mary kate and ashley olsen naked' thing is that it seems to be a breakdown of google's pagerank technology. as far as i can tell, there's no websites out there linking to me that would even mention mary-kate and ashley. if you look at the first page returned in the google search, it appears to be highly-ranked because it is a list of movies that includes a bunch of mk&a movies and the naked gun films.

since a watched pot never boils, i'm writing this instead. i'm making vegetable stock, because it seemed like an interesting thing to try making. i'm not sure how cost-effective it is, compared to store-bought stock. we'll see how much i end up with. part of it will be turned almost immediately into potato-and-carrot soup, to use up more potatoes. (i bought a bag of potatoes a while ago, and they're on the verge of sprouting because my apartment lacks a root cellar.) i'm not much of a soup person, but i'm working on that.
