the new york times has a paean to the tivo remote control. it is the most beautiful remote control i’ve ever used. the directivo variant is markedly worse, particularly the location of the television power button and the addition of a couple of useless buttons. i still haven’t figured out what the window button does — maybe it’s for the directv-version of the guide?

I don't believe that the judges or the Legislature ought to be making that decision. It ought to be the people of the country deciding.

the more i think about it, the more astounding it is to me that someone opposed to gay marriage would even invite that comparison.
