i blew some of my amazon gift certificates (earned from routing much of my finances through my amazon visa card) on new music:

• sunshine barato by mosquitos: my first impression is that it is mellower than their first album. still good, but just not as much of a pop to it.
• uma batida diferente by bossacucanova: this was a recommendation when buying sunshine barato, and so far i like it.
• brian wilson presents smile: this will require more focused listening before i can pass any real judgement.

update: smile is brilliant.
