moxie's story about crashing a post-emmy party at spago (in 1999, not last night) is pretty great. this year you'd be hitting the party pretty late if post-emmy coverage inspired you, given the tape-delays of all of the emmy coverage on this coast. (for some reason, the oscars are always live on the west coast, but not the emmys. i'm sure that makes sense to someone.)

my emmy experience this year was very similar to the story. except for the potato chips. and the party-crashing. okay, i just watched the emmys on television and then fell asleep watching a friends rerun.
