i can't say i've watched american idol at all, but there's a brilliant quote in this article about people mass-autodialing the american idol voting lines for their favorite performer:

"I think Nikki might cater more to the computer nerd group," Pinto said. "A lot of these computer nerds, they're kind of like closet anarchists."
