i'm not sure where that is under dispute. it would be nice if he would say: no authority of government can ever force an american to pledge allegiance to this one nation under god.
quibble about the beliefs of the founding fathers all you want, but i think the first amendment is pretty clear on this point, and still as relevant today as 211 years ago.
