here's a nice commentary about refurbished computers. i was looking at the prices on refurbished tibooks just yesterday. a little more palatable than the price for a new one, although the max resolution on the older tibooks (1152×768) is less appealing than the current ones (1280×854). on the other hand, it would be even cheaper to put together a desktop machine with a big lcd screen. so many possibilities.

as we start to look at contracting with a designer for our company website, i'm beginning to think that being on the issuing side of a request for proposal is the right side to be on. (and hopefully i can do this right so that folks on the proposing side actually provide the right info for us to make a decision more intelligent than well, this one was cheap and their other sites look okay, i guess….)
