watching next@cnn's e3 review, there were two games that looked amazing: blinx, a “4d” platform game for the xbox, and doom iii. blinx looks like a lot of fun, and doom iii simply looks breathtaking. it's almost enough to make me want an xbox or a pc fast enough for gaming.

I was excited to play blinx, but when I got behind the control, it was less "fun" and more confusing. I talked to a lot of people who had the same experience. there are some good ideas mixed with some bad execution. too bad.

the platformers that looked really good and are actually fun to play are 'sly cooder' and 'ratchet and clank' (I know there's some vested interest in that last one, but it is very good). both are sony.

...but, yeah, doom3 looks CRAZY...

oh, yeah, and all xbox games were running at 30hz at the show. I've heard the intel chip is underpowering the nvidia graphics chip in the machines.

seems like underkill.
