spinsanity has a pretty scathing exposure of some innaccuracies in stupid white men. i wouldn't rely on michael moore for the facts any more than i would rely on rush limbaugh. (but at least he's made some entertaining movies. roger and me is brilliant. but i didn't manage to stay awake through canadian bacon.)
on april 17, the egyptian theatre in hollywood will be showing akira kurosawa's high and low. then they're running a john woo tribute over the following week. and next month they're showing the maltese falcon, along with a radio play inspired by the movie. tons of good stuff.
kuro5hin has a very cool story about a quieter-than-a-whisper custom-built computer. $398! it's “only” 866mhz, but that beats the pants off both my 366mhz laptop and 266mhz server.
i wonder if i could use radio userland’s bugs in handling html entities in rss feeds to automatically unsubscribe the twenty or so radio users who keep pounding away at feeds that are dead. is there some localhost:5335-style url that i can force them to hit that would unsubscribe them from the feed?
assuming the decoding bug hasn’t been fixed, and all of radio’s preferences really are web-accessible, i'm sure there's all sorts of fun that could be had. (it smells like a big gaping hole in radio’s security. think you can trust all of the people you’re getting news from just because they've been reliable so far? think again.)
