the senator from disney has gone ahead and done it: sen. hollings introduces sssca—now renamed the cbdtpa. while it isn't quite time to start stocking up on uncrippled computers and electronics, it may not be a bad idea.

watch out, more trading spaces chatter. the seattle, 137th street episode has to be a prime example of the brilliance of the show, as a television show. here's a behind-the-scenes look from the homeowner who ran off-screen, sobbing, during her reveal. (i do get the distinct feeling that the show could do itself a favor by improving the quality of work. nearly every piece i've read about the show talks about shoddy workmanship. it's just bad pr, and i don't think it would be all the expensive to rectify.)

the motley fool has an excellent article on your most important financial decision: deciding to be content. (the article springs from “does economic growth improve human morale?”, which is also chock-full of yummy goodness.)

the internet wayback machine is so nifty (although slow). it's a great way to replace those otherwise dead links in my résumé.
