record labels on napster: “they're ripping off the artists!” record labels on their own online services: “quit whining about how we're not paying you!” crooks.

i watched from the earth to the moon again over the weekend. twelve hours of mind-blowing stuff. meanwhile, we're spending less on manned spaceflight than figuring out how to shoot missiles out of the air. (in a time when there are substantially fewer missiles actually pointed at us.)

even though lots of people are unhappy with yahoogroups, i can't remember the last list i saw that wasn't either hosted locally or at yahoogroups, despite the copious google results for a search on 'mailing list hosting'. heck, i'd get into the game if it didn't already look overcrowded.
