disney's toontown online sounds an awful lot like knowledgeland (which was a product from knowledge adventure something like six years ago).

it's a good idea to make reservations for the two-hour ferry ride to ocracoke island (from the south—the ride on the north side is much shorter). this shot is from a ferry on the cedar island to ocracoke route.

travelling in a car on a boat is very odd. they also had a seating area (with snack bar) inside, and i took this picture from the upstairs outside deck. our rented minivan was actually on the other side of the boat.

you have to love those clouds.

the cfp for the 2002 o'reilly open source software convention is out. i think i'll try to come up with a talk based around the work i do to support the php project. tying it to the "doing more with less" theme shouldn't be difficult.
