look at this picture. see the two big buildings? they don't exist any more. it defies comprehension. (and just thinking about the loss of human life melts my brain.)

i live close enough to the burbank airport that the jets passing overhead can be a bit too loud at times. not for the last two days. i'm ready to hear jets again.

a little bit ago, i found myself turning up the tv volume, and it eventually hit me that it was because there was an airplane flying overhead. i guess bur is back. (it was probably a plane being shifted to another airport or a cargo flight, though, since none of the passenger carriers have scheduled flights for today from burbank.)
