the popup ads from x10.com finally pushed me over the edge: i installed junkbuster and transproxy to get transparent ad-filtering proxying going in my home network. (i'm using lars eilebrecht's blockfile.)
sorry advertisers, x10.com ruined it for the rest of you.
my plan to get a cheap time-keeping piece may have overshot. the $2 clock i bought today doesn't work. nuts.
sheesh, the time appears to be sliding all over the place on the database server that holds these entries. that first entry on saturday was posted friday evening. if this keeps happening, action may need to be taken.
i just noticed you can't see comments to items except the ones on the front page. what kind of lazy jerk is in charge around here? sheesh.
in other news, today i finished the biography of stalin i've been reading for the last six years or so. (not straight through, obviously.) fascinating stuff. but now i have to find something else to read during all the waiting around at the courthouse. maybe plato's republic.
