sock monkeys for $10! the upside to etoys going out of business. buy 'em before they fold....

this is just a test entry to test the entry editing of this half-baked weblog software. looks like it works now.

for some reason, baking is a skill that totally eludes me. i appear to be unable to knead dough properly (doesn't pass the kneading test even after way more minutes of kneading than should be necessary). i bet if i had a beefy $350 stand mixer, it would all work out.

whee, an all-new php.net design. that only took a couple of years.

saw romeo must die recently, which was brilliant. the first x-ray shot made my jaw drop. generally a vastly superior film than 'the matrix', since it didn't have keanu reeves and that annoying cyberpunk/pseudo-eastern-religion thing going on. just cool action, a nice simple story, and awesome music. (i'm sure it pales in comparison to jet li's hong kong movies, of course, which i will admit to be woefully uneducated about. something to fix.)
