i did a little upgrade for the la times scraping, which had problems with the commentary page (and probably others). since they basically only update once a day, i need to come up with a clever solution to streaming their news into my news page, since it tends to result in an overwhelming amount of news in the morning, and i'm probably missing interesting stuff.
so, adobe has made some sort of 3d authoring tool, and apparently thinks that people will be excited. doesn't anyone remember the utter, dismal failure of vrml and other "web as 3d" technologies? "adobe conceded that the public has seen virtual world technologies before, but said that atmosphere stands apart because it is more than just a language standard." right. someone needs to take a large stick and beat all the cyberspace-as-3d-simulation-of-realspace believers silly.
