i finally looked up my congressman. he's the ranking minority member of the subcommittee on courts and intellectual property. cool. time to write a letter.

monkeys can do arithmetic, says new book. but sometimes i can't. (that reminds me, i should do my taxes.)

the big drive on my server at home decided to die. sigh.

one of the thing lost in the great hard drive crash of today is the form i use to update this. so i'm just using phpmyadmin to insert things into the database. yeah, i guess a real man would just use the command-line mysql client. i did start hacking on phpmyadmin to remove all the stylistic markup and use a stylesheet instead, though.
