it's funny how much international attention just one little line of php code can garner.

national novel writing month starts on november first. the idea? write a 50,000-word novel in thirty days. i have a germ of an idea. but that's a lot of words. (i figure about 2,500 words a day, leaving some days up front for plotting/researching, and leaving the weekends free for catching up or taking a break.)

so i finally saw the movie happiness. brilliant movie, but yikes. (and what's up with people who have one blue eye and one green eye? i've noticed a slew of actors recently with eyes like that.)
