some may find it curious that this rant forgets to mention that the event in question involves “mr. x” and his company switching away from one of the products from the author's company. full disclosure, indeed.

dave tried to address this today, but i think he's still missing the point. you don't get to not disclose something like this because you don't think it matters, you disclose it so the reader can decide for themselves if it matters. i'm not a trained journalist, but even i can recognize that as journalism 101
material.

I hadn't realized that the whole rant was about Dan Gillmor, actually; it puts a lot of context to the bitterness and whining, which are now (at least to me) clearly motivated by being pissed at losing a high-profile site. Waaaaaah.
